Many of our customers here at Rapunzel's drop in to ask a question or two of Carol Krenz, our Knitting Instructor. Nicknamed "The Knit Doctor," we're very fortunate to have access to her many years of expertise! Please feel free to drop in with your questions and visit with Carol too! Dee: Do you have any funny stories you can share about the knitting department here at Rapunzel’s? Carol: I do! I was winding yarn when a customer walked up to me when the yarn was in a total mess. The customer asked me, "If you would wind my yarn would it end up like that?" We both had a good chuckle over that one.
Knitting Workshops Dee: I know you’ve taken several knitting workshops over the years. You must have had a favorite. Which one do you remember the most and what was most memorable about it? Carol: I would have to say the workshop I took with Valentina Devine, the world renowned knitting designer. Her designs were simple and useable. She’s also friends with Kaffee Faucett. Dee: Carol, thank you so much for your time and sharing your inspiration with us. You’re a great asset for Rapunzel’s and we all value you highly. Thanks Carol! Happy Knitting! About Valentina Devine Valentina Devine is really her name! Creative freedom really defines her. She’s often quoted as saying, “That doesn’t matter!” And for her, that is true; Valentina uses whatever method works to create her textiles for knit, crochet, embroidery and stumbling. For those who need patterns to follow, she begins a liberating inspiration. About Kaffe Fassett

I visited your store in July and purchased yarn after admiring a scarf that had been knit with the same yarn. Unfortunately I have forgotten the pattern instructiions. The pattern was basic knitting. The yarn I purchased was: 2 x 50G Rapunzel's DAZZLE metallic/18 & one 25g Andean mist. Your assistance is much appreciated......
